Hong S. Jeong, MD

Dr. Jeong, Interventional Cardiologist, focuses on both hospital procedures for stents, angioplasty and peripheral vascular intervention, and also performs  the spectrum of cardiology diagnostic tests at Brevard Heart & Vascular's multiple clinics in Brevard County. The outpatient setting offers patients stress tests, cardiac function monitoring, echocardiography and now laser venous ablation for varicose veins.  Dr. Jeong's tenured cardiology expertise includes treatments for patients with symptoms of palpitation, chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, and leg pain due to poor circulation. Dr Jeong also treats vascular issues, improving circulation in organs in addition to the heart, as well as procedures to eliminate vericose and spider veins.

Dr. Jeong's medical school credentials are from the University of South Florida in Tampa.  After earning his MD, he completed his internal medicine residency at Virginia Commonwealth University and went on to specialize through two Fellowships at Pauley Heart Center in Cardiovascular Disease and in Interventional Cardiology.  Dr. Jeong comes from Cardiology Associates of Polk County at the Lakeland and Bartow Regional Medical Centers.  Before that he served as emergency department physician at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Richmond and was Chief Hospitalist at the Pauley Heart Center Cardiology Program.

Academically, while earning his BS in Microbiology and Chemistry from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Dr. Jeong was inducted into both Phi Eta Sigma and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Societies.
